Getting Started

Thank you for installing TabSaver Pro! This extension helps you save and restore browser sessions so you never lose your tabs again.

Quick Start

TabSaver Pro is already saving your tabs automatically! Look for the TabSaver Pro icon in your browser toolbar to access your saved sessions.

You should see the TabSaver Pro icon Icon in your Chrome toolbar. If not, you may need to pin it:

  1. Click the puzzle piece icon in your Chrome toolbar
  2. Find TabSaver Pro in the dropdown
  3. Click the pin icon to pin it to your toolbar for easy access

How to Use TabSaver Pro

Saving Tab Sessions

TabSaver Pro automatically saves your open tabs at regular intervals (default: every 5 minutes). To manually save your current tabs:

  1. Click the TabSaver Pro icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Optionally enter a name for the session
  3. Click "Save Current Tabs"

Restoring Tab Sessions

To restore a previously saved session:

  1. Click the TabSaver Pro icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Find the session you want to restore in the list
  3. Click the restore button (↗️) next to the session

Customizing Settings

To customize TabSaver Pro settings:

  1. Click the TabSaver Pro icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Click "Settings" at the bottom of the popup
  3. Adjust settings as needed:
    • Auto-save interval (1-60 minutes)
    • Maximum number of saved sessions (5-100)
    • Enable/disable notifications
  4. Click "Save Settings" when finished

Import/Export Sessions

To export your saved sessions:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click "Export All Sessions"
  3. Choose where to save the JSON file

To import sessions:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click "Import Sessions"
  3. Select a previously exported JSON file
  4. Choose whether to merge with or replace existing sessions

Frequently Asked Questions

How does TabSaver Pro store my data?

All your tab data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. Nothing is uploaded to any servers.

Will TabSaver Pro slow down my browser?

TabSaver Pro is designed to be lightweight and only runs when needed. It should not noticeably impact your browsing experience.

What happens if I have too many saved sessions?

You can set a maximum number of saved sessions in Settings. When this limit is reached, the oldest sessions will be automatically removed.

Can I sync my saved sessions across devices?

Currently, tab sessions are stored locally. However, you can manually export sessions from one device and import them on another.
