At AllIT Service, we take your privacy seriously. PlainPaste is designed with privacy as a core principle. This privacy policy explains how our browser extension works and handles your data.
What information does PlainPaste collect?
Nothing. PlainPaste does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, browsing data, or clipboard contents. The extension processes clipboard data locally in your browser only when you paste, and this data is never sent anywhere.
How does PlainPaste work?
PlainPaste intercepts paste events in your browser and replaces rich text with plain text versions. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
What permissions does PlainPaste require?
PlainPaste requires the following permissions:
- clipboardRead: To access clipboard data when you paste
- storage: To save your preferences (which sites to enable/disable PlainPaste on)
These preferences are stored in Chrome's synchronized storage, which means they'll be available across your devices if you're signed into Chrome. This data is only accessible by the PlainPaste extension.
Data retention
Since PlainPaste doesn't collect any data, there is no data retention policy. Your preferences are stored in your browser's storage and remain there until you uninstall the extension.
Third-party services
PlainPaste does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking. It's a completely standalone extension that functions entirely within your browser.
