IT consulting & vCIO
CIO-level thinking without the CIO salary. Roadmaps, budgets, vendor decisions and hard technical questions — answered by consultants who also do the work.
Where senior judgment pays for itself
vCIO retainer
A named senior consultant who owns your technology strategy: quarterly roadmap reviews, an annual budget, and a seat at the table when you make decisions IT will have to live with.
Vendor & software selection
Choosing a CRM, ERP or practice-management system is a five-figure decision. We run structured selections — requirements, shortlist, demos scored against your criteria — with no vendor kickbacks.
IT due diligence
Buying or merging with another company? We assess their systems, security debt and hidden costs before you sign — and plan the integration after.
Office moves & expansions
Network, connectivity and phones planned early enough that the office works on day one. The cheapest IT problems are the ones designed out beforehand.
Security & compliance readiness
Preparing for SOC 2 conversations, client security questionnaires, or cyber insurance — with a realistic gap plan, not a compliance industry sales pitch.
Second opinions
A fixed-fee review of a quote, architecture or contract someone else gave you. We'll tell you plainly if it's fair — including when it is.
Consultants who also carry the pager
Strategy divorced from operations produces beautiful slide decks and unworkable plans. Because our consultants also run client environments day to day, our recommendations come pre-tested against reality: we know which "seamless" migrations aren't, which vendors answer the phone at 5pm on Friday, and what a 20-person firm can genuinely maintain after we leave the room. Every engagement ends with a written deliverable you own — and no obligation to hire us for the implementation.
Frequently asked
What does a vCIO retainer cost?
Retainers start at $850/month for quarterly-cycle engagement, and are included at no extra cost in our fully managed IT plans.
Do you take commissions from vendors you recommend?
No. Where partner discounts exist, they're passed to you and disclosed. Our selection scoring is shared openly so you can audit the reasoning.
Can you work alongside our existing IT provider or internal IT?
Yes — second opinions, due diligence and roadmap work are often done alongside an incumbent. We're direct but professional; the goal is a better outcome, not a takeover.
We just need help with one decision. Is that too small?
No. Fixed-fee second opinions start at a few hours of work. Small decisions made well are the point of consulting.
